Advanced Academics JA is a virtual, private tutoring service for Jamaican students in Grades 1 - 13. Advanced was created by two Jamaican sisters who, through navigating high school and 6th Form noticed a gap in educational services, especially with larger class sizes.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Our CSEC and CAPE marathons include: past paper questions, practice questions and detailed feedback.
• For Homework Help, students WILL NOT be provided with answers for their actual homework problems but instead detailed steps to solving similar problems.
• Travel services are only allowed in public spaces such as libraries or school campuses.
• A 50% deposit is required before the start of any service.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FOR OUR REFUND & PAYMENT POLICY!

GRACE PERIOD

• For each session, a grace period of 15 MINUTES past the scheduled start time will be allotted for both tutor and student.
  
• If a student fails to attend the session past this grace period, the session will be marked as a NO SHOW and subsequently cancelled. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded.
• If a tutor fails to attend the session past this grace period, the session will either be rescheduled at no additional cost or 75% of the deposit WILL be refunded.

RESCHEDULING

• A session may be rescheduled at no additional cost to the student provided the change is made at least 24 hours before the original session's start time.
• If a student must reschedule later than 24 hours in advance (LATE RESCHEDULE), the deposit WILL NOT be refunded. Additionally, there will be a $500 charge to secure a new spot.
• More than 1 reschedule per session, regardless of when the request was made, will accrue the same penalty as a LATE CANCELLATION.
• If a tutor must reschedule less than 24 hours in advance, the student may choose a new session at no additional cost and 50% of the deposit WILL be refunded.
• If a tutor must reschedule at least 24 hours in advance, the student may choose a new session at no additional cost. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded.
  

CANCELLATIONS

• Student cancellations are NOT allowed within 24 hours of a scheduled session.
  
• Student cancellations made later than 24 hours (LATE CANCELLATION) of a scheduled session WILL NOT be refunded.
• Student cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session will be eligible for a 25% deposit refund.
• Tutor cancellations are not expected to be made any later than 24 hours in advance.
• Tutor cancellations any later than 24 hours in advance will result in rescheduling at no additional cost to the student AND 100% of the deposit WILL BE refunded.
• Tutor cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the student. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded.

PAYMENT

• A 50% deposit of any service (except marathons) is REQUIRED at the time of booking.
  
• Marathons REQUIRE AT LEAST 75% of total cost to be paid at the time of booking.
• Remaining 50% (or 25% for marathons) MUST be paid within 48 hours of the completion of service.
• Any remaining payments not paid within 48 hours will automatically result in addition to our NO SERVICE list.
• Payments may also be made in FULL at the time of booking.
